Background
Josef Mengele was a medical doctor that worked in the Auschwitz
Death Camp. He was born in Gunzburg, Germany. From 1937 to 1938 Josef Mengele
earned his doctorate in philosophy at the University of Munich and his M.D.
university of Frankfurt. He joined the Nazi party in 1937. After being promoted
to the rank of Capitan Dr. Mengele in 1943 he was transferred to work at the Auschwitz
death camp. In Auschwitz Dr. Mengele spent most of his time working on pseudoscientific experiments
on twins and dwarfs.
